Braña de Sousas

Braña de Sousas is a unique place found in the heart of Somiedo Natural Park in Asturias. It is one of the few sites that still preserves the pastoral tradition and the typical buildings of Asturian brañas.

It is one of the most impressive brañas in the entire park, extending over more than 1,000 hectares at an altitude of over 1,500 metres above sea level. In this area, shepherds and their flocks move up during the summer to take advantage of the high mountain pastures.

Braña de Sousas is also an ideal place for nature lovers and hikers. The area has a wide variety of routes and paths that allow visitors to discover the local flora and fauna up close, as well as the stunning mountain landscape of the area.
